Her career in animation started as the Head of Europe for the Canadian production company Nelvana Europe, in charge of co-productions &#038; international sales (\u201cBabar\u201d, \u201cThe adventures of Tintin\u201d, etc.) where she gained her first Emmy Award (\u201cRolie Polie Olie\u201d). After 2 years as Head of Creative Development at Millimages, she joined forces with Jean-Baptiste Wery in 2010 to create Dandelooo in order to develop, produce and distribute worldwide ambitious animation, mostly based on children\u2019s book and\/or unique talent. She co-created the hybrid series \u201cThe Treehouse Stories\u201d (2nd Emmy Award) and helped co-produce more unique programs (\u201cMum is Pouring Rain\u201d), along with book-based animated jewels (\u201cBilly the Cowboy Hamster\u201d). In 1992, he graduated from the School of Fine Arts of Lisbon (ESBAL) with a degree in Plastic Arts &#8211; Painting. He studied drawing and puppets animation in Lazenec-Bretagne, Rennes and in Film\u00f3grafo, Porto in 1993\/4. In 2000, with his 25-minute film \u201cThe Suspect\u201d, he received the CARTOON D&#8217;Or. In 2012, he founded, with Ana Carina, the Portuguese production film company Pra\u00e7a Filmes. In the last few years he directed the stop motion TV series for children entitled \u201cHome Things\u201d and the short films \u201cSunday Drive\u201d, \u201cJourney To Cape Verde\u201d and \u201cFragments\u201d. The latter was selected to the short film competition at the Locarno Film Festival 2016 and received the prize for best documentary in Clermont-Ferrand Short Film Festival 2017.
