Advanced Seminar for Executive Producers

Quirino Lab is an advanced seminar for executive producers in Ibero-American animation. Over four days, participants step back from the daily grind to exchange ideas with peers, and update tools in the face of an industry undergoing rapid transformation.

Executive production in animation is often a solitary endeavor requiring complex strategic decisions to be made without real opportunities to compare ideas, learn from others, or rethink business. Quirino Lab addresses this reality in the form of a collaborative learning lab.

An initiative of the Quirino Awards, organized in partnership with the Tenerife Island Council, through Tenerife Tourism and the Tenerife Film Commission.

The second edition of Quirino Lab will take place from October 7 to 10 in Puerto de la Cruz (Tenerife), at the Lago Martiánez complex.

CALL FOR APPLICATIONS FOR THE SECOND EDITION

The call for applications for Quirino Lab’s second edition will be open from May 18 to July 29, 2026.

A select group of animation executive production professionals will participate in this specialized event, which will take place on October 7-10 in Puerto de la Cruz (Tenerife). A collaborative space to reconnect, stay up to date, and relearn, where participants will play an active role in generating shared knowledge.

The program is structured around five thematic areas, addressed in sessions led by international experts and followed by discussion panels:

01 Audiences, Consumer Ecosystems, and Digital Fragmentation

New audiences, screens, and formats, fragmented attention.

02 Organizational Models, Strategic Leadership, and Personal Efficiency

Productivity, talent management and critical conversations.

03 Innovation in Financing: New Models of Financing, Investment, and Distribution

Equity, venture capital, and alternative sources of revenue.

04 Emerging IP and Business Models

IPs driven by fandoms and communities, sustainable models.

05 AI, Technological Innovation, and Emerging Trends

AI in production, automation, and virtual production.

In addition to this, there will be two hands-on activities: a four-day personal productivity challenge and an artificial intelligence hackathon focused on designing automation tools for production workflows.
