Quirino Co-Production and Business Forum facilitates strategic meetings between producers, buyers, distributors, channel representatives, platforms, and investors from over 25 countries during three days of intensive work.

Each year, more than 1,500 co-production, distribution and project development meetings take place. A total of 240 professionals attended last year’s forum.

The co-production and business forum is organized according to the need to create links between companies in order to co-produce, co-develop and work at the Ibero-American level.

For scheduled B2B meetings, a personalized agenda is made for each participant according to the format, techniques and target preferences, as well as the languages ​​spoken, selected in the registration form. Meetings are always assigned to promote business within the animation industry and to be beneficial and of interest to both parties together.

Animation producers, buyers, distributors, TV channels and investors can participate in the forum.

Participation Requirements

Professionals from Ibero-America with the following profiles are eligible to participate:

Animation producers, studios or freelancers from the Ibero-American region with at least one previous project completed and a current IP or project in development, production or seeking distribution/financing/co-producers.

Service companies related to the sector (except those involved in sound and music) and institutions in the sector may also participate.

The organizers evaluate each application to ensure that the profile is suitable, and the meetings are productive.

Access and transport: 

There are two airports in Santa Cruz de Tenerife:

  • Aeropuerto Tenerife Norte (TFN): Recommended. 20-minute drive to downtown Santa Cruz de Tenerife.
  • Aeropuerto Tenerife Sur (TFS): 50-minute drive to downtown Santa Cruz de Tenerife.

Important: Air/ground transportation, accommodation, and food expenses (except for meals included in the program) are the responsibility of each participant.

In the third edition of the Co-Production and Business Forum of the Quirino Awards, which has the collaboration of ICEX, Animation From Spain and PROEXCA, more than 90 companies from 19 countries participate. Throughout a month, representatives of channels, distributors and producers have the opportunity to know, through online meetings with Ibero-American professionals, different projects from the 23 countries of the Ibero-American region. These scheduled B2B meetings make a total of more than 800 meetings.

1. Reuniones B2B: reuniones agendadas con diversos profesionales de la animación. Con los intereses que nos confirmasteis en el formulario y lo que buscan estos profesionales organizaremos reuniones que tendrán lugar viernes 5 y sábado 6 en la tarde.

2. Zona de reuniones: en paralelo podréis agendar más reuniones B2B con todos los participantes del foro. Para ello habrá espacios y tiempos disponibles que coordinaremos con vosotros a medida de vuestras peticiones.*

Mesa de trabajo Ibermedia y asociaciones de productoras de animación iberoamericanas

Dentro de la misión de los Premios Quirino de estructurar y potenciar la industria iberoamericana de la animación, se ha acordado con el Programa Ibermedia organizar una mesa de trabajo en el marco de la primera edición de los premios en la ciudad de Santa Cruz de Tenerife. El principal objetivo de este encuentro es analizar las especificidades de la animación para facilitar el acceso de proyectos de animación a este programa iberoamericano de estímulo a la coproducción cinematográfica en la región.

Para ello asistirán las principales asociaciones y gremios de animación de España, Portugal y los países latinoamericanos que, junto a los representantes de la Secretaría Técnica y Ejecutiva de Ibermedia, darán forma a propuestas concretas que serán puestas a disposición del Comité intergubernamental de la Conferencia de Autoridades Cinematográficas de Iberoamérica (CACI) durante la reunión que celebrará en el 21º Festival de Málaga (13 – 22 de abril). Entre los participantes confirmados se encuentran: APA – Asociación de Productoras de Animación de Córdoba Argentina; ANIMAR CLUSTER – Cluster Argentino de Animación & VFX; ABCA – Associação Brasileira de Cinema de Animação; Animachi Chile; GEMA Colombia – Grupo de Empresarios de Animación; Gremio de Animadores de Ecuador; ACDMX – Asociación de Creativos Digitales de México; Peru Animation; y Casa da Animáçao de Portugal – DIBOOS, Federación Española de Asociaciones de Productoras de Animación y Save Asociación Asociación Canaria de Empresas Profesionales del sector de la Animación, el Videojuego y los Efectos Visuales.
