Brazilian film director and screenwriter. In 2013, he released “The Boy and the World”, his second feature film. It won the Annecy Crystal Prize in 2014 and the Grand Prix for best feature film at Animafest Zagreb in 2015, among many other prizes, being also an Academy Award Nominee in 2016. He created and supervised the preschool animation series “Vivi Viravento”, released by Discovery Channel in 2018 in Brazil & Latin America. Nowadays his third feature film, “Voyagers of the Enchanted Forest”, is in production.

GUSTAVO
FERRADA

Founder of the production company Convoy Films. He is a consultant for companies such as Vodafone or HBO and executive producer for Tripictures, Atresmedia Cine or The SPA Studios, where he participates as producer of the feature film “Klaus”, directed by Sergio Pablos. Previously he worked at TVE as director of the cinema area; in Sogetel and Sogecine as director of the production area; and in Canal+ as head of Spanish and independent film acquisitions. Among the more than twenty feature films he has participated in are: “Futbolín” by Juan José Campanella, “Crimen Ferpecto” by Álex de la Iglesia and “El milagro de P. Tinto” by Javier Fesser.

BARBIE
HEUSINGER

Freelance production and international sales and acquisitions consultant with more than 10 years of experience. In 2018, Barbie joined the integrated world sales company Sola Media as a Sales Manager. Sola Media specializes in high-quality children’s films and family entertainment with a strong focus on animation features. Since 2014, Barbie is also a member of the consulting team in the Film Marketing Coaching program at FOCAL supporting producers and distributors in development, marketing and promotion campaigns. Additionally, she works as a script coach.

DEANNA
MARSIGLIESE

Character Art Director at Pixar Animation Studios, contributing to films such as Incredibles 2, Inside Out, Toy Story 4, The Good Dinosaur and Bao. She began her career as a 2D character animator and cleanup artist, with Universal Features’ “Curious George” being her first official feature film credit. Deanna has gone on to teach classical animation and character design, leading workshops world-wide. She currently lives in San Francisco, California.

MARIE-LAURENCE
TURPIN

Head of Development & Talent Management of Xilam Animation. Responsible for the strategic duty of research as well as talent management. She previously served as line producer and contributed to the production and development of TV shows and feature films such as “Nocturna”. In 2007, she joined Xilam Animation on “Go West: A Lucky Luke Adventure” movie and has recently supervised the production of TV series such as “Rolling with the Ronks” for Disney EMEA. Line producer of “Oggy and the Cockroaches – The Movie” and of the first Xilam feature film for adult “J’ai perdu mon corps” (I Lost My Body), directed by Jéremy Clapin (released in 2019).
