CODE OF CONDUCT
QUIRINO AWARDS

The Quirino Awards are committed to creating and maintaining safe, inclusive, and respectful spaces in all their activities. We promote a professional ecosystem where all voices are valued and where each participant can contribute to the collective growth of the Ibero-American animation industry.

Race/ethnicity
Gender
Sexual orientation
Language
Age
Socio-economic status
Religious beliefs
Geographic origin
Marital status
And any other type of personal diversity

The specific requirements established in the rules of each call or event are exclusively for the purposes of training, participation, and making the most of the corresponding activity.

All individuals involved in any role within the Quirino Awards activities (participants, facilitators, mentors, members of the jury, staff, guests, and collaborators) must respect this Code of Conduct.

We ask all individuals involved in the Quirino Awards activities to maintain professional, respectful, and responsible behavior. This includes moderate and appropriate alcohol consumption when available.

These rules also apply to all virtual spaces linked to Quirino Awards activities.

Unacceptable Behavior

We understand harassment as any behavior that has the effect of intimidating, degrading, humiliating, or making another person uncomfortable, regardless of the intention with which it was done.

he following behaviors/attitudes will not be tolerated and can be reported immediately:

Violence or threat of violence
Personal attacks (both physical and verbal)
Demeaning or discriminatory comments
Deliberate intimidation, harassment, or stalking
Dissemination of sexual images and/or comments or jokes of a sexual nature
Inappropriate physical contact and/or unwanted sexual attention
Persistent disruption of presentations or activities
Inappropriate use of confidential information shared during the program
Attending activities under the influence of substances that compromise safety or the professional environment

Consequences

The behaviors described above will not be tolerated. In case of any non-compliance, the organization may take the measures it deems appropriate, including warnings or immediate expulsion from the activity without the possibility of a refund, depending on the seriousness of the situation. This specifically includes cases of inappropriate behavior due to substance consumption.

We expect participants to comply immediately when asked to stop any inappropriate behavior.

Facilitators, mentors, and collaborators are also subject to this policy.

Reporting and Assistance

If you are the victim of any type of inappropriate behavior, observe someone else experiencing inappropriate behavior, or have any other related concerns, please contact a member of the organizing team immediately.

All reports will be treated with the utmost possible confidentiality.

Quirino Awards staff will be available to help participants contact local authorities, provide assistance, or help in any necessary way. We value your participation and your physical and mental integrity.

We expect all participants to follow these rules throughout the activities.
