CESAR
CABRAL
Cesar Cabral holds a degree in Cinema and Video from ECA-USP (University of São Paulo). He began his career as a stop-motion animator and co-founded the animation studio Coala Filmes in 2000. Early highlights include the award-winning stop-motion shorts The Re Bordosa Dossier and Storm, screened at major festivals such as Annecy, Sundance, Hiroshima, and Havana. He also directed two seasons of the young-adult TV series Angeli The Killer for Canal Brasil and Globoplay.
His feature debut, Bob Spit — We Do Not Like People, premiered at Annecy 2021, winning Best Film in the Contrechamp Competition. The film also won the Grand Prize at the Ottawa International Animation Festival and was shortlisted for the 2023 Academy Award for Best Animated Feature. More recently, he released the preschool series Gildo and the short Bill Plympton and Guard Dog in Brazil, selected for Annecy 2025. He is currently developing his next animated feature, A Brazilian Penguin, set for 2027.
MOE
HONAN
Moetion Films’ founder CEO Moe Honan is based in Galway in the West of Ireland. She is an independent Producer of several award-winning animation feature films and TV series, including Moetion Films’ 2015 debut feature and global hit Two by Two – Ooops! The Ark has Gone… which earned the company the Producer of the Year Award at Cartoon Movie 2016. Two by Two – Overboard! was released internationally during 2020/21 topping the box office in the UK.
Moe recently co-developed and co-produced the Magic Reindeer, Saving Santa’s Sleigh, the third film in the award-winning trilogy – Niko, which was released in late 2024. She is currently developing a slate of projects supported by Creative Europe and Fís Éireann. Moe also works as a Voice Director, and is Chair of Animation Ireland, the trade association for animation producers in Ireland, and is a board member of Animation In Europe, an umbrella organisation for European producer associations, which now has 25 member countries, with representation from all over Europe.
MARLYN
MONTANO
Marlyn Montano is an animation executive, producer, and industry leader with extensive experience in animation production, business management, and sector advocacy. She is the CEO of PlayLab Animation Studio, Inc., President of the Animation Council of the Philippines (ACPI), and a Board Trustee of the IT & Business Process Association of the Philippines (iBPAP). She also leads TeamApp, Inc. as CEO and Animation Producer, overseeing 2D, 3D, and VFX services, and previously served as Managing Director of Holy Cow Animation, Inc.
Marlyn holds a Master’s degree in Entrepreneurship and a CFO Diploma from the Asian Institute of Management, as well as a Bachelor of Science in Accountancy. Her unique combination of financial acumen and creative leadership has made her a key driver in advancing the Philippine animation industry. She is also a part-time professor at the University of Makati and currently, she serves as Line Producer of Sun Chaser, an original all-Filipino animated series co-produced with ToonCity Animation.
MARTHA
SEPULVEDA
Martha Sepúlveda is Senior Development Executive at CAKE, where she leads the creative development of animated series with talents from North and South America. She has over 15 years of international experience in children’s media, having held senior roles at award-winning studios such as 9 Story (Rosie’s Rules!), Sinking Ship (Odd Squad, Dino Dan) and Breakthrough (Wandering Wenda).
She has developed original content and franchises for channels such as Treehouse, TVOKids, CBC Kids, PBS KIDS and Nick Jr., including the recent reinvention of Rainbow Brite alongside Crayola Studios and Hallmark. Martha is recognised for promoting diverse stories and authentic representations both on and off screen.
KRESIMIR
ZUBCIC
Krešimir Zubčić oversees acquisition and programming of short and feature animation for HRT (Croatian Radiotelevision), shaping the broadcaster’s art-animation offerings and festival outreach. He has represented HRT and Croatian animation on European and world markets since 2005, regularly serving as jury member and delegate at numerous international festivals.
Zubčić produces and presents a weekly 50-minute television magazine dedicated to the art of animation on HRT’s Channel 3 (Mondays at 21:10). He is vice president of the Board of Animafest — World Festival of Animation in Zagreb and serves as a juror for the Emmy Awards.
